FAQ

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is a 'WeDo Marriage Contract' the same as 'Prenuptial Agreement'?

A. No. A WeDo Marriage Contract is the culmination of a process where couples have explored, individually and together, their reason and purpose for marrying. Then, with the guidance of legal, wealth, health and relationship advisers, they create their own unique contract of marriage.

A WeDo Marriage Contract is a 'Positive' focused contract having intrinsic incentives to help couples achieve and sustain the marriage they both desire.

A WeDo Marriage Contract also ensures couples can regulate their affairs in the event of marriage breakdown, and does so with greater scope and consideration than 'Prenups'. WeDo Marriage Contracts are agreed under Contract Law in a fair and carefully weighed manner to avoid the prospect of life long detrimental effects on family members resulting from the arbitrary processes and outcomes of adversarial Family Law courts.

Prenuptial Agreements are 'Negative' contracts, generally focused on what happens after the breakdown of marriage and are usually limited to the division of assets. Partners are often wary of introducing even the idea of prenups, avoiding them in case they are seen by their prospective spouse as being unromantic or untrusting. However, their greatest weakness is that they are subject to the adversarial State Family Law court system where a judge, in a secret court, can decide at the end of the day, 'who gets what'. 'Prenups' can be thrown aside if a judge so wishes.

Q. How much does a WeDo Marriage Contract cost?

A. That's up to you. A successful marriage yields multiples of what you put in to it. The basic WeDo Marriage Contract itself is free; but how much are you willing to invest (and not just money) in your marriage? A good marriage is the best way to create happiness, wellness and wealth. How valuable is that? After four years of development, we have come up with the Best Marriage Contract and process in the world.

In designing your unique WeDo Marriage Contract, you select your own, legal, wellness and wealth advisors ... and negotiate fees with them using the WeDo Marriage templates. We have sought out the best and highest regarded professionals in the field of human relationships and currently recommend Myers Briggs and Olsen as relationship providers in the WeDo Marriage process. Depending on which independent providers you choose and to what extent you employ them, costs can range from €500 to ... well, what ever you are willing to spend.

Q. Can same sex couples use a Wedo marriage contract?

A. Yes. Although WeDo Marriage was primarily created to address the needs of heterosexual couples (particularly those wishing to have and raise children in a committed, long term loving relationship) who wish to invest fully emotionally, financially and legally in their marriage and in each other; same sex couples can equally avail of a WeDo Marriage, as with any other couple, by amending clauses to express their particular contractual preferences.

Q. Is Wedo Marriage better for women, men, children, society, governments or the legal professionals?

A. All of the above. Women benefit from the intimacy, wealth creation and security of a long term goal driven relationship (with fair and uncontested provision in the less likely event of breakdown in a WeDo Marriage) invested from a similarly goal driven and motivated partner, soul mate and lover and father for their children.

Men benefit from the intimacy, wealth creation and security of a long term goal driven relationship (with fair and uncontested provision in the less likely event of breakdown in a WeDo Marriage) invested from a similarly goal driven and motivated partner, soul mate and lover and mother for their children.

Children benefit from having the love, care and community of two motivated parents, synergistically committed and positively motivated towards co-operation and family sustainability.

Society benefits from healthier communities and a reduction in crime fueled by broken homes, unemployment, exclusion and disadvantage; and the reduction of ever younger children expressing their unhappiness in drug taking and other anti-social behaviours. Intact families promote better community integration and safer places for businesses to prosper, children to play and go to school.

The Government benefits from families staying together, creating more wealth, providing for and supporting and nurturing each family member in their own particular needs. Government doesn't need to be involved in marriage. It has neither the competence nor the invested interest of loving spouses or parents. Government (and taxpayers) benefit from the vast amounts of monies squandered on an out of date social experiment that has failed all family members, husbands/fathers, wives/mothers, and children, each in their own way (a failure largely kept hidden in secret Family Law courts).

And yes, surprisingly, even the Legal Profession benefit from WeDo marriage! Judges case loads will diminish so they can give each case its due attention free from time restraints. And solicitors can proudly say (and advertise) they work with marrying couples ... rather than being financially and toxically incentivised to break up as many families as possible. WeDo Marriage would require the employment of many, many more solicitors (two for every marriage contracted) rather than the current Family Law process requires (two only for each 'dissolving' marriage). WeDo marriage is truly good news for everybody!

WeDo Contracts are recommended for everyone, not just the rich.
